Khing was not anticipating being caught in a cat-and-mouse game with an annoyingly beautiful agent from the parallel universe that's trying to destroy hers—but it appears she has no choice in the matter. Desperate to regain her mother's favor after a streak of failed missions, Khing volunteers for a new assignment: saving her own reality at the expense of its polar alternate. All she has to do is bring down Citra, a cheeky, enigmatic noblewoman from the enemy party.
Citra, an outcast who yearns to be free from her own clan and jumps at the chance to do another group's bidding in exchange for a new life. In order to succeed, she must disrupt Khing's reality with her narrative-based magic, allowing Citra's reality to continue forming the rival world in its own image.
There's one issue that neither side could forsee: Khing's existence directly negates Citra’s—and no one knows why.
When Khing and Citra's first encounter almost leads to a dimensional breakdown, they each become hellbent on bringing down the other. But as wariness and bad blood turn into mutual fascination and understanding, Khing and Citra must find a way for their realities to co-exist—or save their own and lose each other forever.
